22m Motor Yacht

The 22m Motor yacht, designed by Paul Spooner, is of similar overall proportions to the Fife motor yacht, but has been optimised for much faster cruising.

The semi-displacement hull form means that she is easily capable of 20 knots allowing for much faster passage making, and the more contemporary hull lines are sure to turn heads in any marina or anchorage. There are, of course, much faster motor yachts available, but the planing hull form, on which all of these are based, is optimised for relatively calm water. The sea conditions often found around our coasts and offshore mean that it is often not possible to attain these high speeds safely, and when running slowly these yachts can be extremely un-comfortable. The semi-displacement hull form that this yacht is based on will be capable of maintaining it's cruising speed in conditions that would leave a similar sized planing hull floundering.
